Reasonable Faith ABQ Chapter

Our purpose is to acquaint attendees with a full range of evidence for the Christian faith.

We strive to provide an articulate, intelligent voice for biblical Christianity in the public arena, present reasons that support the truth of biblical Christianity, and train participants to state and defend Christian truth claims with greater effectiveness.

As American culture becomes increasingly post-Christian, many consider the Bible to be myth and are unaware of its truth claims as they pertain to science, philosophy, history, archeology, and sociology. The veracity of these claims must be demonstrated before many will even listen.

Christian apologetics (the intellectual defense of biblical truth claims) provide reasons to believe and play three vital roles: 1) to shape culture, which today is deeply post-Christian, 2) to embolden believers to share their faith and withstand the intellectual assaults from a culture hostile to Christ, and 3) to draw people to Christ through persuasive reasons to believe, the gospel, and personal testimony, through the Holy Spirit.

RF ABQ is an official arm of the Reasonable Faith ministry of philosopher William Lane Craig of Biola University and Houston Baptist University. However, each chapter is semi-autonomous and locally directed. While relying heavily on Professor Craig’s material, we do not necessarily endorse all of his ideas and utilize resources from other ministries such as Reasons to Believe. Much of our apologetics are agnostic about the age of the earth, but our perspective is old earth consistent with scientific consensus. We are aligned with the intelligent design movement regarding evolutionary theories. We adhere to the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy.
